Communication and Record Keeping Training Course

Who is it for?

Residential and domiciliary care workers including: carers, supervisors, and managers working with older people; or vulnerable adults, in their own home or in care homes and Care workers undertaking the Skills for Care Common Induction Standards or NVQs in Health and Social Care

Communication and Record Keeping Training Course Content:

  • communication models
  • verbal and non verbal techniques e.g. questioning; active listening
  • communication with service users who are confused or suffering from sensory loss
  • legislation and best practice in record keeping

This training course provides an awareness of the principles of good communication and record keeping It will be of particular interest to residential and domiciliary care workers including: carers, supervisors, and managers working with older people; or vulnerable adults, in their own home or in care homes. The content includes: communication models; verbal and non verbal techniques; questioning; active listening; communication with service users who are confused or suffering from sensory loss; legislation and best practice in record keeping etc. Residential or domiciliary care workers who are undertaking the Skills for Care Common Induction Standards or NVQs will benefit from this course.
