How we Assess Competency for an NVQ / SVQ in Care Qualification
A NVQ / SVQ Registered Manager qualification can only be delivered by an approved training centre. Affinity Training is approved by the Oxford, Cambridge and Royal Society of Arts Awarding Body (OCR).
In order to become a NVQ or SVQ Registered Manager the candidate will need to be assessed by a suitable assessor in the workplace. Affinity has NVQ trainers located throughout the UK and Northern Ireland, and SVQ assessors throughout Scotland so we can guarantee quality care training within your region.
Affinity Training's NVQ and SVQ assessors are flexible in their approach, and in many cases assessors can give candidates credit for prior learning during development of the NVQ or SVQ portfolio.
Once the Registered Manager portfolio is completed it is checked by an internal verifier from Affinity Training, and then checked by an External Verifier from OCR. If the evidence is satisfactory the candidate is then awarded an NVQ / SVQ in Care Level 4 certificate.
We find that most carers complete their NVQ / SVQ Registered Managers Award Care within 18 months.
